Crawford joined Capture as a business development professional with a knack for understanding the technology and creativity that defines Capture.
Crawford's professional roots trace back to the film and television world, where he spent a number of years as a sports producer for the Twin Cities' ABC affiliate - Channel 5 Eyewitness News - writing, editing, reporting and directing multiple live sportscasts on a daily basis. He was a part of an Emmy Award-winning team, having also produced for Joe Schmit's SportsWrap and Vikings Live!. Prior to that, Crawford served as a media and interactive coordinator for one of the Midwest's premier advertising agencies - Fallon McElligott - where he worked on numerous internationally-acclaimed advertising campaigns for clients such as United Airlines, Lee Jeans, EDS and Holiday Inn.
In addition to the things he gets paid for, he works to produce documentaries, commercials and music videos. He is currently producing a compelling feature-length documentary about street kids in America and the finished product will tug at your heart strings and illuminate some underground realities. Stay tuned.
In his spare time, he enjoys coaching football and track & field. Crawford graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1997 with a BA in Broadcast Journalism. He was a captain and four-year starter on the Golden Gopher Football team, which might explain how he can maintain a Taco Bell weakness and still dunk a basketball. His wife Sarah is also a U of M grad and letterman on the Gopher Women's Basketball team. They have been married since 2001 and are blessed with two beautiful children - Devin & Vanessa.
